Just thought now that Ellie is two months I should probably record some things about her. She is definitely a more calm baby than Clara was. She has her fussy moments - mostly at night - but overall she is a dream. She has started smiling a lot more, especially in the morning. She coo's at me and when I sing to her it sounds like she's singing back. It's very sweet. When she smiles she has a dimple in her right cheek just like her daddy - so cute! She has also started sleeping mostly through the night the last few nights which has been fantastic. Some funny things about her - when she sneezes she has to usually more than once and she makes a loud sigh after each one (I hope to get it on video sometime), she farts super loud like her Aunt Karen, she has bubbles constantly coming out of her mouth so we started calling her Bubs, she has the smallest little cry that sometimes sounds like a donkey, and she opens her eyes really wide when she's awake like she's scared or something. Since day one she's been super strong and gets stronger every day. Clara loves her more each day and has really been so sweet with her. Ellie is definitely a trooper and usually only cries if she's needing something.
Another thing I wanted to record, a month ago she started to sound really congested and got a mild fever. It was so sad to see her so helpless - she slept for three straight days only waking up to eat. I'm glad she bounced back from that so well. It's so sad when kids are sick, but even more so when they're so tiny. It was my first trip to the ER since she had a 100.3 fever and kids under 12 weeks have to go in if it's 100.4. Luckily her lungs were clear and she just had to let it run its course. Makes it annoying though to have to go in.
That's Ellie so far - we sure love her and are glad she's here!
Goodness, she sounds so sweet. You should probably post pics of that sweet smile. She sounds darling Krista! :)
